Melissa is a Senior Consultant at Stonebridge Prep. Melissa graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science and Energy Studies. Melissa remains an engaged alumna of the university and has worked as a college admissions interviewer, college applications consultant and mentor. Melissa is accomplished in guiding students with conceptualizing and editing college essays, creating activity lists and resumes, performing mock interviews, as well as decision deliberations. In addition, she is also experienced in mentoring younger high school students, helping each build a strong background to ensure future success when applying to colleges.

After being elected to serve as an educator for Teach for America, Melissa was promoted to lead teacher within her first year. She was also hand-picked to spearhead and coach the school’s first ever Robotics team. As a science teacher, Melissa takes a holistic approach, incorporating social emotional learning into her pedagogy, helping develop the full student while fostering relationships with the students and their families.

Leveraging her college consultancy background, expertise in teaching, interviewing, and experience working hand-in-hand with students and their families, Melissa has joined the Stonebridge Prep team. She is ecstatic to bring her proven track record, first-hand experience and passion to Stonebridge Prep. Melissa’s philosophy is ‘your success is her success!’ She has a vested interest in helping students achieve their full potential and gain entrance into their dream school. Melissa is eager to use collaboration and teamwork as a mechanism to help students and parents navigate the laborious college application process with precision, compassion, trust and assurance.
